New Delhi. The Chief of the Army Staff General M M Naravane presented the Presidential Colours to the four parachute battalions at the Parachute Regiment Training Centre in Bengaluru today. The new colours venerated by the forces were presented to 11 Para Special Forces, 21 Para Special Forces, 23 Para and 29 Para battalions.
The General pointed out that the modernisation and transformation of the Indian army has gained pace in the last two-three years and has made the army fit to face emerging new challenges.
Addressing the military personnel, General M M Naravane recalled the valour, courage and bravery of the battalions which received the new colours today. He said that the brave hearts of the parachute regiment laid down their lives in honour of the national flag.
